A partir de una nota en su programa ¨Detrás de las Noticias¨, en donde aparecía una chica, Barbarita Flores, llorando de hambre, se desató una enorme polémica alrededor del tema de los chicos desnutridos en Tucumán, no sólo en Argentina sino en todo el mundo.
Su película documental Deuda, que relata la realidad de la pobreza en nuestro país y su vínculo con la deuda externa, fué presentada en los festivales de cine de Montevideo, Santiago de Chile, La Habana, Huelva y México y nominada como mejor Guión y Mejor Documental 2004 para los Premios Cóndor de Plata de la Asociación de Cronistas Cinematográficos de la Argentina.
The images from an interview aired on the television show ¨Detrás de las noticias¨of a young girl crying of hunger started a huge revolution in the national media about the undernourished children in Tucuman and the rest of Argentina.
The Debt, shot in 2004 portrays the current poverty in our country and the link between poverty and our national foreign debt. Debt was screened at film festivals in Montevideo, Santiago de Chile, La Habana, Huelva and México and was nominated in the categories Best Screenplay and Best Documentary for both, the Cóndor de Plata Awards and the Feature Film Association of Argentina Awards the same year.
