En 1974, a los 14 años, fue Segundo Premio Municipal de Ensayo con un trabajo sobre "El tema social en el cine argentino", y nominado como uno de los jóvenes del año por la Asociación de Intercambio Cultural Argentino-Israelí. Colabora ese año y los siguientes con diversos medios escritos: Revista Siete Días, Clarín Revista, etc.
En mayo de 1987, a los 26 años, fundó el diario PAGINA/12 donde se desempeño como Director Periodístico, hasta marzo de 1994, colaborando como columnista hasta diciembre de 1995. Los periodistas más prestigiosos y las investigaciones más reveladoras tuvieron lugar en él y tuvo una importante repercusión internacional.
Además, publicó regularmente en diversos medios extranjeros (Miami Herald, El Espectador -de Colombia-, entre otros).

In 1974, at the age of 14, he achieved the Second Prize awarded by the City Town Hall in the category Essays with a piece named "El tema social en el cine argentino" (The social issues of Argentine in films), and was nominated as one of the Youths of the Year by the Argentine-Israeli Cross Cultural Exchange Association. The same year, he began collaborating with different magazines like Siete Dias, Clarín, etc.
In May 1987, at the age of 26 he founded PAGINA/12, where he was editorial director until March 1994, and was a contributor for a year.
Pagina/12 was the most belived and prestigious newspaper in Argentina, with international repercussions. In addition, he has written for different foreign media, like Miami Herald, El Espectador -- Colombia -- among others.
